The Manfrotto MVH502AH Pro Video Head with flat base is a professional fluid video head engineered to provide independent filmmakers, documentary videographers, and commercial cinematographers with fluid pan and tilt movements and counterbalance support. Featuring Manfrotto’s patented bridging technology and variable fluid drag cartridges, the MVH502AH ensures silky-smooth motion control for mirrorless, DSLR, and compact digital cinema camera rigs.

Fluid Drag System with Stepless Friction Control

Equipped with dedicated variable fluid drag systems on both pan (360°) and tilt (-80° / +90°) axes, this head allows operators to fine-tune resistance to match specific camera focal lengths, shooting tempos, and panning speeds. Integrated pan and tilt locking levers ensure rock-solid lock-off when framing static shots.

Dynamic Counterbalance & Sliding Top-Loading Plate

The integrated counterbalance system is calibrated to support camera payloads up to 4 kg (8.8 lbs), helping maintain neutral balance and preventing unexpected camera tilt drops. The elongated sliding quick-release plate features a top-loading mechanism that allows fast camera mounting and balance adjustment with long telephoto lenses or front-heavy rig setups.

Universal Flat Base & Dual Easy Link Connectors

The versatile 75 mm flat base with a standard 3/8"-16 female thread attaches easily to photo tripods, video legs, sliders, jibs, and hi-hats. Dual 3/8"-16 Easy Link accessory ports allow direct attachment of external video monitors, audio receivers, articulating arms, or LED lights without adding cage weight.
