For photography and video, this camera lens is best evaluated by focal length, aperture and mount compatibility with your camera system.

The VILTROX 85mm F1.4 Pro Z is a flagship full-frame portrait lens designed exclusively for Nikon Z-mount mirrorless cameras. Built for professionals and serious enthusiasts, this medium telephoto prime delivers breathtaking image quality, cinematic background blur, and lightning-fast autofocus performance, making it perfect for portraits, weddings, fashion, editorial work, and video production.

With its ultra-wide F1.4 aperture, the lens excels in low-light environments while producing beautifully soft, creamy bokeh that isolates subjects with stunning clarity. The 85mm focal length provides flattering compression and natural facial proportions, making it the gold standard for portrait photography.

At the heart of the Pro Z lens is Viltrox's advanced HyperVCM autofocus motor. This next-generation focusing system delivers extremely fast, accurate, and nearly silent autofocus, allowing photographers and videographers to track moving subjects with confidence. Eye-AF and face detection are fully supported on compatible Nikon Z bodies, ensuring tack-sharp focus on every shot"even at F1.4.

Optically, the lens is engineered with a professional-grade optical formula, including high-refractive and low-dispersion elements that suppress chromatic aberration, distortion, and color fringing. The HD nano multi-layer coating enhances contrast, improves color fidelity, and minimizes flare and ghosting in backlit scenes.

Designed for durability and precision, the VILTROX 85mm F1.4 Pro Z features a metal lens barrel, weather-resistant construction, and a smooth, tactile focus ring. Despite its powerful performance, it remains well balanced on Nikon Z cameras, making it comfortable for extended handheld shooting.

Fully compatible with Nikon Z cameras including Z30, Z50, Z50II, Z fc, Z5, Z5II, Z6, Z6II, Z6III, Z7, Z7II, Z8, Z9, Zf, and Zr, this lens is a serious upgrade for anyone seeking top-tier portrait and low-light performance on the Nikon Z system.
