Sigma 16mm f/1.4 DC DN Contemporary Lens for Sony E-Mount (APS-C)
Bring a wider perspective to your Sony APS-C mirrorless camera with the Sigma 16mm f/1.4 DC DN Contemporary. Combining a bright f/1.4 aperture with a 16mm wide-angle view (24mm full-frame equivalent on Sony APS-C), this autofocus prime lens is a versatile choice for vlogging, YouTube videos, travel photography, landscapes, indoor shoots, street photography and low-light content creation.
Its wide field of view helps you fit more of the scene into the frame, while the fast maximum aperture offers greater creative control over background blur and helps capture images in challenging light. Sigma's quiet stepping-motor autofocus is designed for both still photography and video shooting.
Key Features
- Sony E-mount, APS-C coverage: designed for compatible Sony crop-sensor mirrorless cameras.
- 16mm wide-angle focal length: approximately 24mm equivalent field of view on Sony APS-C.
- Bright f/1.4 aperture: useful for low-light shooting and selective depth of field.
- Quiet autofocus: stepping motor suited to photography, face tracking and video.
- Optical performance: 16 elements in 13 groups, with FLD, SLD and aspherical glass to help control aberrations.
- 9-blade rounded diaphragm: smooth, pleasing out-of-focus rendering.
- 67mm filter thread: compatible with correctly sized 67mm filters.
- Dust- and splash-resistant mount sealing: added protection at the lens mount; not a fully waterproof lens.
