For photography and video, this camera lens is best evaluated by focal length, aperture and mount compatibility with your camera system.
The VILTROX 28mm F4.5 Pancake Lens is a compact, lightweight, and highly portable full-frame prime lens designed for photographers and videographers who want excellent image quality in the smallest possible form factor. With its ultra-slim pancake design, this lens transforms your mirrorless camera into a discreet, easy-to-carry setup"perfect for street photography, travel, and daily creative shooting.
The 28mm focal length offers a natural wide-angle perspective, making it ideal for environmental portraits, landscapes, architecture, and lifestyle photography. It allows creators to capture more of the scene while maintaining minimal distortion, providing a balanced and realistic look that works well for both stills and video.
Featuring an F4.5 aperture, this lens is optimized for sharpness and portability. While keeping the design extremely thin and lightweight, it still delivers reliable performance for daylight shooting, outdoor photography, and travel scenarios. The aperture provides sufficient depth-of-field for street and documentary-style photography while maintaining crisp detail across the frame.
The autofocus system is fast, accurate, and quiet, ensuring smooth operation for both photography and video recording. It supports face and eye detection on compatible mirrorless cameras, making it easy to capture people in motion or shoot casual portraits with confidence.
Optically, the VILTROX 28mm F4.5 Pancake Lens is engineered with precision elements that help reduce distortion and chromatic aberration. The multi-layer coating improves contrast and color accuracy while minimizing flare and ghosting when shooting in bright conditions.
Despite its compact size, the lens is built with durability in mind, featuring a sturdy metal mount that ensures long-term reliability. The minimalist design pairs beautifully with modern mirrorless cameras, creating a sleek and stylish setup for everyday photography.
Available for Sony E, Nikon Z, and L-Mount full-frame mirrorless cameras (variant dependent), the VILTROX 28mm F4.5 Pancake Lens is the perfect choice for creators who want a truly portable wide-angle prime lens without compromising on quality.
